A YEAR LONG…
the rainy season reveals the dancing sunshine,
the dry season reveals the music of the dry grassy fields,
the perfect circle of the midnight moon rises in jubilation.
the seasons pass and the days go on.
in the back of my mind
I can still see the blue skies of the distant dry season.
thinking back to the days when I sung while gazing at the sky
somewhere in the recesses of my mind;
I walk to where you are.
the rainy season reveals the Christmas song,
the dry season reveals the music of the dry grassy fields,
the perfect circle of the midnight moon rises in jubilation.
the seasons pass and the days continue.
when the sun goes down, its farewell
the faraway dream and illusion,
has followed you into the light and has relied on the wind.
the plants signal the rain’s arrival through their dancing,
the field flowers start to wither as they gaze upon the sun,
the midnight moon dawns as its fullness is celebrated.
as the year starts to end,
I start counting the days again.
the sun still lingers on,
deep inside my eyelids.
the blue sky that came to pass was warm.
we hold hands and ring a bouquet,
the memories of 10 o’clock never seem to end.
deep inside, the memories that I am calling upon now,
I start walking towards you.
the grasshopper season signals the rain’s arrival,
the field flowers start to wither as they gaze upon the sun,
the midnight moon dawns as its fullness is celebrated.
as the year starts to end,
I start counting the days again.
we bid each other farewell as the day breaks again,
dreams become but mere illusions.
I am guided by a warm wind of the moment,
I am enveloped by the light that had been chasing you.
