A candle light

Like the light of a candle,

You light up my heart

Melting away my fears

Like the wax of a candle.

See how I’ve opened up

You make me trust.

Naked like the flame of a burning candle

I open my heart out to you

Only to reveal,

The little room I’m locked in!

I speak to you with a voice

Like the swirling wind of the Sahara

Revealing what I’ve long wanted to say

I sit at the bank of the river Nile

No footsteps on the ground

I’m listening but there’s no sound

Come to take me home

So my neck may be as proud

As that of a Giraffe

We were to depart
